Q. My plastic surgeon said that I should massage my new implants. I’m not sure I’m doing it right. Is massage important and will this help me recover faster or better from implant surgery?

A. Although most plastic surgeons recommend massage after breast augmentation surgery, there is no clear research evidence about which types of massage are most effective, or how they make a difference. However, it is important to talk to your plastic surgeon about it.
